Relational ISsues & Codependency

If you’re finding yourself emotionally exhausted in your relationships, finding it hard to say “no” or prioritizing the needs of others over your own, I want to help you change that! Your needs matter.

I love helping clients discover their boundaries and learn to uphold them in relationships. By fostering self-awareness, enhancing self-esteem, and developing healthy coping strategies, I help my clients shift their focus from external validation to internal growth.

My goal is to empower individuals to cultivate healthier, more fulfilling relationships and achieve greater personal well-being.

Trauma & PTSD

If you are seeking therapy for trauma-related issues, you can anticipate learning to deepen the connection with your body and implement new ways to deal with triggers, flashbacks, and internal dysregulation.

Whether your trauma is acute or complex, I seek to help you understand the ways your body and mind respond to the fight/flight response.

Together, we work to help you establish and maintain a feeling of safety and connectedness, internal regulation, and improved communication skills.

Additionally, I have experience working with those who have suffered medical and religious trauma.

Anxiety

Anxiety can feel terrible and cause problematic behaviors like avoidance. This can cause someone to feel like they’re not living their life to the fullest.

Sometimes anxiety is limited to specific environments like social settings. Other times, anxiety can feel like non-stop worrying.

When treating anxiety, I equip my clients with an arsenal of tools that they can put into practice in the moment. These tools include: coping skills, grounding techniques, and mindfulness practices. Together, we work to decrease your overall anxiety and increase your functioning.

DepressioN

When treating depression, I help my clients take small steps towards their goals. Together, we will work to increase your functioning across multiple areas of your life and get to the root of what is holding you back.

Collaboratively, I work with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that may incorporate a combination of evidence-based therapies, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and psychodynamic approaches. This holistic approach addresses the underlying causes of depression and equips clients with practical coping skills. I also emphasize the significance of self-care, including regular exercise, healthy sleep habits, and balanced nutrition. Encouraging clients to engage in activities they find enjoyable and fulfilling helps to promote positive emotions and boosts overall well-being.

Throughout the therapeutic journey, I strive to empower my clients by providing education and resources for them to better understand depression, recognize early warning signs, and navigate setbacks. By focusing on building resilience and fostering a sense of empowerment, clients are empowered to take charge of their mental health and work towards long-term recovery.

Couples

My approach to couples therapy is rooted in fostering open communication, empathy, and understanding within relationships. I believe in creating a safe space for partners to explore their concerns, emotions, and goals.

It is important to note that I do not treat issues related to infidelity, divorce, domestic violence, or intimate partner violence. Additionally, I do not involve myself in divorce proceedings.

My focus is on helping couples navigate challenges and improve their overall relationship dynamics and relationship satisfaction.

Teens

I work with teens aged 16 and up.

Parents, please look at the FAQ page for details on confidentiality.
